昔のアメリカのジャズの世界では、上手にトランペットなどを演奏できる音楽家に対して「吹く」という意味がある「blow」を使いました。一方で、下手な音楽家に対して「吸う」という意味がある「suck」を使いました。下手な音楽家はトランペットなどを吸っているように演奏しているからです。スラングの「suck」はこの使い方に由来します。

もちろん何かが何かをsuck出来ますけど、このsuckの意味はスラングじゃありません。

The real verb is “to suck”.
本当の動詞は[suckする」です.

Does it suck?
-Yes, it does suck. / Yes, it sucks.
I have heard the word “sucky” (suck +y) in speech as an adjective, but I think it is not common among adults and a childish way to make up words, like “+ish”, so please don’t use it
