僕は、カレイの見た目と感触は少々苦手ですが、美味しいので食べるのはとても好きです。英語でカレイは flounder といい、イギリスでもとても人気のある魚です。実はこの flounder は、動詞としても使えます。「もがく」や「ジタバタする」という意味になります。
